I took these pictures on Tuesday morning but haven't had a chance to post them 'til now. There is still a lot of work to be done, but I'd totally be okay if the baby decides to come today.
Here is the furniture along the striped wall. We will be making music notes with letters to spell his name to hang above the crib. I wanted to do it now, but DH wants to wait until we know for sure that his name is Jonah. Also, we'll be putting a gliding rocker in the corner next to the crib (where the basket of clothes and balloons are) and making a little nursing station there so that I can BF comfortably.
The opposite wall. I'm going to paint a yellow border with blue music notes along these two walls. I'm hoping the yellow will break up some of the blue. Hopefully I can get that started today, but I had to put myself on bedrest because of high blood pressure (the doctor says she wants to induce me late next week if it doesn't come down, and since I want an all natural birth I am really trying to take it easy. Unfortunately that means no more painting in the room!)
Inside the crib. We won't be using most of this bedding once the baby gets here. It isn't very practical, but it looks nice for the pictures. I also have a mobile that I can't figure out how to attach to the crib.
This dresser was the biggest pain to put together!!!! We still need to put the door on the cabinet, but I am content just to leave it alone for right now!
I really love this lamp.
The mirror and play area. We will probably replace the blanket with a rug of some sort; I just can't decide which one to get yet.
And finally, the bookcase. I have lots more books to add, I just have to unpack them. My mother-in-law gave us the majority of the books on the shelves now as a shower gift.
We got all of this done between Saturday afternoon and Monday evening!!! I'm very pleased with what we have gotten done. Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures of the finished border by Sunday!
