My next question....

Would you make your own, or pay for someone else to make them?

already answered this above I would do it myself, since they are so expensive, but I'm asking my dad to paint them for our baby boy

Your first answer was why I asked the second question Linds!

I love the plan of your dad making them for his grandson! That's a wonderful thing for him to do!

I'm torn, I personally love making them! I've made 2 names for family members. But I've also gone the other route and got them made for 2 wonderful ladies, it was the best at the end getting the surprise of what the names looked like! I agree, it can be expensive, but hey, the baby will hopefully grow with the name until they are at least 3!

I went to a local craft store and was able to pick up wood letters for my sons room for .50 a piece (came to $2) and then picked up the exact shade of blue that matched his bedding and was able to get exactly what I wanted for about $4.

I will be doing it again for baby #2!

Either.

I made Brinlee's. Well, I didn't make the letters myself.... I bought those. But I did paint them myself.... twice (we redecorated her bedroom). The first time they were sage green with light pink polka dots. Now they are lavender with light pink polka dots.

For Izzie, I'm thinking about paying someone to do them. Not sure yet though.

I am definitely doing these. I am a consultant for UpperCase Living, so thats where I will get mine, I will probably also put them on canvas though, maybe right on the wall...but I like the canvas idea!
