We haven't found out and don't plan to find out the gender of our little one (due January 20th). We have limited space and have decided to use the landing area at the top of our stairs (currently our office) as a nursery. It's painted a darker sage green and a lighter green/tan that I really like and would like to keep. Our house is old (built in 1900) and has a lot of charactar so I'd like to have the nursery kinda fit the rest the house.

I'm really stumped as far as what to do for neutral bedding to go with the sage green. I'm not really into cartoon charactars, animals, etc. I'm not totally against them~ I just think they all look kind of boyish. Also I'd rather not have the nursery look too totally "babyish" since it will be out in the open. There is a set at Target that I absoloutely love~ but is it too girly? I'm thinking it probably is:

I kind of like this one too, but not as well:

Any ideas/suggestions/input (including completely different ideas) would be greatly appreciated!

I like them both but I think you're right, the top one is a little girly...only because of the flowers. I'm not sure how modern of bedding you like but here are a few from Target that might work...

I don't know if this is too boyish, but I think it's cute...

Or you can go with a more neutral color to contrast with the greens...

That's all I've got, lol. Good luck!

I agree, the first bedding option you have there does seem more girly than neutral. The second one does work, and you could throw in some pink or blue whenever the baby comes.

However, the 3 that the PP posted are adorable! The second and third are my favourite and definitely would work with the sage green walls! With you already painting, you aren't really left with a lot of options.

This is my absolutely favorite gender neutral bedding:

The next baby we have I am strongly considering not finding out the gender but either way I may end up buying this set myself.

It says discontinued but you can always find it somewhere......[/b]

That was a very cute set. They replaced it with:

Also, about buying discontinued patterns.. it is good when you just want a few pieces, like the 4 pc set, or if you are lucky enough to find the entire ensemble. But, it is hard when you buy the 4 pc set and want some accessories and they are nowhere to be found because they are all discontinued. Then you end up with a hodge podge nursery set up.

Not sure if the greens would go, since I can't see the color of the paint... but here are a few I found:

I was actually thinking of this one. I used some pieces from this line to accent my neutral jungle theme.

Looks like you actually have a lot of choices!
