help needed

We just moved from NJ to Texas and I am due in one month... but have never made it my due date before, so I am really in a rush to try to get things done because I am just running out of time!
I had got the bedding (SeaLife by Kidsline) before we moved here and I realize now that the valance that came with the bedding is too short for the window, like a foot and a half to short.
I dont know if I should buy a second valance and have them scrunched together or if I should buy some drapes to go down the sides, or any other suggestions.

and since we are renting and not allowed to paint or wallpaper does anyone have any ideas to decorate the walls so its not so boring.. other than wall letters of his name?

Id buy a pair of drapes to go down the side.
How about some nice sea life wall art, framed photos, sea life banners etc... ?

I'd buy a second valance. I don't like anything long hanging in a children's room, for safety reasons.

I would probably buy another valence. And about the wall decorating, I'm going to buy some wall stick ups to go with my sons nursery theme. They have a ton if you look online for them. Here's one site that sells them http://www.muralsforkids.com/product...roducts_id=359

Hi & welcome to the board!
I would definitely buy another window valance. I think the valances work better when they're "puffier" anyway. As for wall decor.. you could get some of those removable wall-decals with sea animals on them. You could probably google "removable wall decals" and see what you get. I'm not sure where you could buy them aside for the internet. You could also hang pictures of sea life.

The sealife theme is so cute!

One suggestion for the walls- I am not sure if your three older kids are much into crafts, but they could make paintings or a mobile of sea creatures for the baby's room. It could be a fun way to have the kids involved in prep for baby's arrival, and sort of a welcoming gift for their new baby sibling.

You could also make some wall decals from felt and a bit of stitchery (again, maybe something the kids could help with?) There are some cute examples here:

Because we all, of course, have oodles of time to make our own personalized decorations, don't we?
