Do you have any pets?
If so, are/did they take/taking an interest in baby's nursery?

We have a cat.. and really she is the strangest cat. She doesn't really like people and honestly, she annoys me.. She NEVER usually comes upstairs in our house. Normally she stays downstairs in the living room or the den curled up in a chair or on the couch. But ever since we started putting the nursery furniture up... she thinks we are re-doing that bedroom for HER! She lays in the floor like the Queen every single day. I don't know what we are going to do once Maddox is here. I definitely don't want my newborn to have a cat all up in his space. Especially since I am allergic to cats. I am constantly congested and have a stuffy/runny nose because we have her. UGH. We can't find anyone to take her though. And I refuse to take her to the pound where they will probably just put her to sleep

We have 2 dogs and they are only allowed in the nursery with supervision (mostly because my pug used to secretly pee in there once in a while when it was a guest bedroom). They love to come in and "help" me when I am organizing, assembling, or decorating. The only problem we have right now is that going along with my "jungle babies" bedding we have lots of jungle stuffed animals in there, including a 5' tall giraffe. My larger dog tries to dismantle the giraffe every once in a while and there is also a parrot that she tries to pull apart, but they act really nice when they are in there and they like to sniff all of the babies new things.

We dont have any pets or a nursery / home for that matter Lol

When we do get our own place the only pet we will be having for a loooooong time is a Hedgehog so I dont have to worry about that getting into the babys room! Lol

no pets here--unless you count a 6, 5, and a 2 year old. I am already having a hard time keeping them out of the nursery... but I think they are just excited.

I have 3 cats and 2 dogs though I am not pregnant yet. My husband and I are WTTC later this fall but we have been working on the nursery. We are slowly updating our condo so we decided to do the 2nd bedroom this winter and thats the room the baby will have. We have ripped up the old carpet and put down hardwood, repainted the room from purple to yellow, put in crown molding, and all we have left is the baseboards and installing new closet doors and we are done. Through the whole process we have let our animals wander in and out (within reason...like not when we are painting) My plan is when we really start making the room a nursery and putting in baby furniture and toys etc to let the animals investigate with supervision. I want them to regard that room as just like any room in the house by the time the baby comes. Also I read that babies who get use to animals at a young age will have a better chance of not developing allergies to these animals (my husband and I are both not allergic to begin with so that should help too) We are still about a years away I think before we really need to worry but these are my hopes for now.

You're too funny! Yeah, I can understand they'd be extremely excited! Our cat migrates from room to room it seems like. One week you can ALWAYS find her in this specific spot lounging and the next week you'll find her somewhere else. I'm hoping her nursery lounging is just a phase too LOL!

We have two dogs and they love sleeping under Kennedy's crib.
Kennedy has alot of sunlight in her room and I always find my dogs in their asleep in the sunshine.
