We live in an older home and have smaller rooms. It has been a challenge to fit everything in because of not only the size of the room and the amount of furniture, but the fact that there is also two windows and a closet taking up space in there! Let me know what you think of the placement of furniture. My husband likes it this way a lot. I think I am just so used to seeing a crib up against a wall that I'm having a hard time. Any opinions or comments would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like you've made great use of limited space! I like it. As long as you can comfortable get to everything you need, I don't think it matters if the bed is against a wall.

I like the layout as it is, but I do have a couple of comments. I know the designers these days tell you not to line the walls with furniture (and I can see why), but at the same time I think it limits the space in the center of the room- if you wanted to put down a play mat or floor gym or what have you, it might be a bit tight.

Second comment is that I would probably put the change table under the window and the toy storage by the closet. Baby can watch out the window while being changed, you have quick access to burp cloths etc if you are sitting in your rocker, and there is also close proximity to the dresser.

I like the colors, by the way... and your valence is too cute!

Hi & welcome to the board! I think you used the space you have wonderfully! It looks great! I agree with Vita Boheme, that it might be easier on you to have the changing table where the bookshelf is just so you'd be closer to burp clothes while in the rocker. But, it also looks wonderful just like it is! I love your use of colors.. it's so bright and cheery! Great job

I think the room looks great! Yes, the crib isn't against the wall but I think you might like it. Very accessible! Very cheery and colorful.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. I ended up moving the room around just because I felt like I was going to want more space in the middle of the room. I'm still in the process of hanging things on the walls, but I'll repost when finished. I'm much happier with the new layout even the the hubs wasn't very happy about having to move everything again. hehe. Thanks again!
