Did you & your DH purchase most of the items for your nursery or did you get the majority of it as gifts?

(I'm talking about furniture, bedding, decor, etc - not clothing & diapers)

Let's see... DH and I purchased the furniture (crib, dresser, glider&outtoman & changing table. We also purchased the bedding)

For gifts we got our changing pad, changing pad cover, all the accessories that match the bedding (lamp, extra curtain, extra sheets, mobile, hamper, blanket, wall hangings). We got our wipe warmer & diaper disposal system as gifts (that's not really decor, but it sits around in the nursery). Our diaper cake was a gift (duh) it's part of the decor in his room.

We bought the BIG stuff, but most of the stuff that makes it cutesy and homey was given to us as gifts

All the furniture was given to us by Michael's sister- handy enough as we had fallen in love with it as soon as we saw it. Her son is much older and they wanted to redo his room, and since my SIL can't have children anymore she just gave it to us. It's beautiful!

But like you said...the cutesy homey stuff we got at our baby shower(s). My little boy is already insanely spoiled by me and DH, and the rest of both sides of our families! I want my little man to have the best we can give him and by golly I think we've done it! Now all his nursery needs is an adorable mural on his wall like your little man's!
