hi everyone! ive been lurking around here a bit and now I have a question!!

i'm in a heavy nesting mode (isnt it fun!) and I'd really like to do my sons room in reds, blues & whites (but not like USA theme!).. the crib is white, the dresser is blue, the changing table will be white, I will also have a rocker most likely in a blue. see some pics below..

floors in the room are a dark cherry wood, blinds are white... the room is very open and bright..

my question is THIS---> what do you all think of painting one wall red, where the crib would go? I'm a huge fan of red and think the color could grow with him too... thoughts>>>> is that too drastic for a babys room?

I think painting one wall - especially the one with the crib on it - would look just fine. However, I think you'd have to be very careful of the shade of red you chose. That blue dresser is such a soft blue. The white is also mellow. I don't think the two colors would look good with a stark red. And, you'd need to make sure there was enough red accents through the rest of the room to tie it all together.

My nursery is red white and blue, but more like a nautical theme, we painted 3 walls pale blue and one a pale navy blue, although now I wish we´d gone with red. (We have that dresser in white in our lounge!). I think when we redo babys room she´ll have a red wall.

the only input I can give is, we painted our dining room a RED RED, and I LOVE IT! Ill add a pic... what if you painted two walls red? Maybe if the two walls get the most sunlight, or the two walls you see when you walk into the room. or the crib wall and the wall with the closet or window with the least amount of space... sorry im rambling!

Also the only thing with red is, I had to paint it 5 times!! and if we ever change it, I am thinking it is going to take a lot of work.
