We finally have our house!!! YAY!! I spent all weekend working on the nursery with my mom. Here's our progress so far:

Here's the Nemo theme from before that I know a few ladies were wanting to see. It was really neat and fairly nicely done, but there were a lot of marks (pencil drawing, etc) on the walls around the characters that can't be seen. Still, they put a lot of work into this, but it just wasn't what I had planned:










So, we primed the room first (Nemo needed three coats to cover! Others needed two.):





Then we painted it these BRIGHT colors. I was a bit iffy at first, but I knew there was a reason I picked them-- this took two coats all around as well. Talk about time consuming! The taping sucked!:


The next day, my mom touched up the spots where the tape didn't match up just right, Mike switched out all the outlets. I put the light in (in the dark with a headlamp. Yeah, baby! Hah), and we moved the furniture in and I started putting stuff together!











There's still a lot of work left to do. I have to put up shelves, pictures, the wall fish tank, his letters, a decorative rug, new window treatments and blinds, some more decorations, and find a lamp that I like, the wall quote...etc. We also couldn't put the crib totally together because we're missing TWO screws, so Mike's getting those today and finishing the crib. I'm so excited! I love this little room, and my new house!! I'll update it with the final pics when I get there. It's so hard to take pictures of a room when the stuff's in it! It's not THAT big! I'll post the updated, finished nursery in the subforum when it's done!

It looks great! I like the bright walls. Cute bedding set too.

Do you know what kind of wall letters you're going with? Solid color? Or, there are a couple of people on ebay who can handpaint letters to match just about any bedding. They might be cute with your theme.

Yeah, the previous owners did a great job with the Nemo stuff. But, I'm just not a big fan of Nemo either.
