Well, although I am only 17 weeks, DH and I are both teachers and are trying to get the nursery well on its way to being finished this summer. I know when school starts back, we will both be very busy and not have near as much time. So, here is our nursery so far. We still have 2 1/2 weeks to go until we find out the sex, so everything is still neutral.

(We have to move the cables in the corner. This used to be our office.)

(Closet)

This is my new rug I bought today.

Hope you like it. Any suggestions on how to make it better/more functional? This is our first baby and I love hearing ideas from others.

It looks great so far. I love the colors you used for the walls! Will the cream and chocolate walls match both the bedding you have picked out for a girl and the bedding for a boy? Can I ask what you have picked out? And, I think you'll really appreciate all the shelves in the closet.

Also, some moms may not use them, but I recommend getting a small lamp (maybe the one that matches your bedding set). When you have to attend to your baby in the middle of the night, it's nice to have a low light versus the bright overhead light. That's the only functional thing I would recommend given how far along you are now.

Here is our bedding.

I do plan on getting a lamp. I think it will really come in handy, especially during the night. We are waiting to find out the gender before we buy anything with color. I can't wait!

That is so funny, we have the same furniture and if we have a boy, his name is going to be Liam.

I have my money on boy. We find out in little over 2 weeks.

Actually, we just bought ours from Wal-Mart. That is the only thing that I have gotten from there but I just couldn't pay BRU prices for their rockers. They are fine until you want to add an ottoman, then they jump up really high. So we decided to go with the walmart one. It is not as sturdy, but it works fine.
