My husband wanted to have some say with the nursery, so I guess I will allow it. LOL

Actually, he came up with two good ones. First, he thought about having our hand prints on the nursery wall near the crib as a way of always keeping our hands near the baby. I thought we could paint his/her name, or use the wooden letters, and put the hand prints around it.

The other idea he had was to paint two trees, since the theme will be either springtime for a girl or summertime for a boy. One tree will be James height and the second will be my height. We will add a baby growth chart in the middle.

What do you guys think?

I think those are fantastic ideas! I wish my husband put half as much effort into our plans! One idea we liked was to have photos of ourselves near the crib so the baby could recognize our faces. Oh and if you do the trees, it would be really neat to have his family tree on his and your family tree on yours, with the two having branches that intersect (for you and him) and then maybe an apple or something coming off the branch to symbolize the baby. That sounds so neat!

Oh, it will be a while... lol, I am not pregnant yet... this was more of a *in the future* thing. Thanks everyone for the ideas. I like the family tree idea

my friends did a jungle theme for their boy, it came out really good but wasnt into it from the beginning.
