is this what you're thinking of Jess??? that'd be cute!!
I obviously never did one, since we got boys but this is probably what I would do...
-Have the room have a vintage/shabby chic look with ballerina/ballet accents through out.
-make the room pink- like the color of ballet shoes...
-find a bedding you like- doesn't have to be ballerina, a pretty print/colors would work nicely f
-ballet shoes- hang on the wall on a pretty hook,
-find ballerina photos/prints/paintings,
-hang up a big fancy mirror over the changing table
-put her name on the wall
Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I'm doing a ballet theme for my little no named girl.
We're painting a very soft pink and white vertical stripes on the walls. I am making a mini ballet bar and mirror for her wall. (so when she is bigger she can watch herself, I know my boys always loved seeing themselves!) I have soft pink pointe slippers that I got at a dance studio and I bought extra long ribbons so I can hang them from a hook. I am making one of those tutu hairbow holders for her wall and I am also repainting a piggy bank I found for 50 cents pink and adding a tutu to it.
I think I am also going to hang some framed ballet sketches, but I haven't decided which ones. I want it to look elegant, not baby.
I'm trying to decide what quote I want to cut out of vinyl and hang on the wall too. I didn't want to use the typical "I hope you dance" one so I was thinking maybe "The perfect shoes can change your life" - Cinderella ??? Or should I keep looking?
I love that growth chart too Linds! I just don't know if I have enough wall space for one.
ETA: Oh and I think a fancy mirror above her changing table would look soo pretty, but I am not sure I can do that because the way the room is set up I may need to put the changing table/dresser under her window.

sounds adorable Jess!!!! Love the crib skirt and curtains! great find!! what color is her furniture? oh and i decided you have to use a ballet dancer/ballet name for her!! it would soooo fit!!! i.e. Giselle is the name of a famous ballet, it's 7 letters, doesn't end in t or n, but it is a G, nickname Elle. I like it! Or Julietta (instead of Juliet from Romeo/Juliet)
here's some other quote ideas:
"Life is a dance, from one stage to the next."
“Dancing is silent poetry.”
"You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart." ~Unknown
~ Dancing is like dreaming with your feet! ~
-Dance as if no one is watching~
