whew these are the new thing in cribs right now, but plan on paying a good penny for them! most are actually larger than a regular crib as far as mattress dimensions. can take up less room in the actual nursery but not exactly convertible! most are painted with a theme and filials- decorations of carved wood or metal at the top you will see!! crib linens also have to be specially ordered for these. allows baby 360 degree vision of room to enhance visual stimulation

basic round

They actually have been around for a very long time. Do you all know who Kasey Kasem is? Well his wife started a company that started the craze I was pregnant with our 16 year old at the time. they are very nice though..

We thought about a round crib, but thought it wasn't the best way for us to go since you can't purchase sheets, bedding, etc around where we live. Plus we wanted a convertible crib, that way we could make a nice investment and not have to purchase anymore furniture for the child. They are pretty neat though. I've also seen a corner crib, like a pie slice kinda thing (1/4 of the circle) and it was really neat!!!
