ohh.. thats cute...
hmmm... well at the moment it cute… but I wanna do it up better…
More girlish… I know what I want to do with most of it.. But yeh…the main colours will be pink, blue and yellow.. And white.. I want to make things for her room so I can say I done that. Just little things.. Like the toy box and yeh just arts and crafts.... I will have to wait until I’m finished…I have a image in my head.. But yeh I cant get it out its hard to explain.
But if I had a boy I would do more of a whinne the pooh theme…or cars...

Later on I will do a theme on what she is interested in I guess…

kendalls room is done in carebears - the walls are a lemon sherbert color and then i just have the carebear bedding - didnt' want to go to crazy cuz we'd like to put the house on the market next year. i'd really like to come up with something good for both of the kids' rooms whenever we are able to get a new house

This baby's nursery will be in pale blue and yellow with stars and moons, there's a set from Pottery Barn kids that I love that will go perfect that has really nice curtains to match that i think I will get.

we don't want to find out what we are going to have so we are going to do it pretty unisex. We are going to use this bedding (most likely!) it's my favorite right now:

We've already painted the room a really pretty yellow color and I'm going to do letters (the wooden ones) in teal for the babies name. And of course it's going to have lots of Turtles!

(ps I looove decorating so I'm glad they made this a new board!)

Well I went with Pink and Flowers. After having two boys and finding out out 3rd was going to be a girl, I went all out on the girly theme. I made pretty much every single thing in the room. Here's some pics...

Wall number 1- I was on a pretty strict budget, luckily I had all the nursery furniture already, so it was just a matter of adding all the girly points. On this wall is our christening gown (which I made, and have learned never again to try to sew such tiny little arm holes again. I must have sewn them shut 5 times)..then I added all the items from the christening such as the bib they gave my little ones and candles. I painted the letters which were resin and added the ribbon, painted the shelves as well and exchanged the handles on the furniture with acrylic ones (a steal on e-bay)

here is a closer pic of the baptism shelf

Wall number two- you can see in the background that I still have to finish sewing one of the curtain panels. The half circle above the window was more of a solution to a heat issue with the room. In the summer the sun would just bake that room to amazing temps, so this has worked great. It's attached with hooks so I can take it down in the winter to let the sun back in to heat up the room. I got the tulle off ebay and added the trim and second layer (that will come down once she starts rolling) and the roses. I hand painted the toy box underneath the window. And hung a small mirror with chain above the dresser.

Here is the crib, I made the bedding based off one that I saw that was over $350.00. All the fabric was a total of $150.00, which included the curtains.

This wall I hand painted. I had ordered wallpaper, but it kept getting placed on back order, to the point that I wouldn't get it until the baby got here, so I duplicated it on a larger scale.

Would you believe that I had a hunch this was a girl and made this lamp before I found out. I figured I could sell it or give it away if it was a boy. I made the flowers from clay and baked them (My 1st attempt, it turned out pretty well) spray painted the lamp, and used pink blush on the embroidery on the lamp shade to highlight it.

And last is my steal of the century, I exchanged the light for a chandelier (got this one on CLEARANCE, ,yeah baby, $32.00)

Thanks for letting me share. I worked pretty hard on this nursery. It's just amazing how well it turned out based on some sketching I did a few months before the big ultrasound. It's almost identical.

I can't wait to see everyone else's pics. I could spend days looking at newly decorated rooms. Especially nursery's.

My Daughters room would of been Pooh - but I lost her at 7 months gestation. My son's room was done in Pooh as well - now it is Finding Nemo

we are going to do heaven for a girl- i'll post pics, but hubby and i are not painting a cloud ceiling but making one! take one layer of blue netting on the whole ceiling, flush against the ceiling. then a layer of white netting and put pillow stuffing inbetween the layers- the white should kinda swoop off the ceiling
and noahs ark for a boy
