So since I am only 5 weeks along, obviously I dont know whether the peanut is a boy or a girl. However, we have A LOT to do to turn my office into an nursery and if we wait until month 5 when we find out the gender, we may not get it all done. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a theme that could be for either a boy or girl?

DH is a BIG sports nut and I am slowly getting there. I was really wanting to do a sports related theme in the nursery but was worried it would be too boyish. But I was thinking.........what do you all think of going ahead and getting some sports decorations and then....if it is a boy we just keep going with that theme and if it is a girl, then we add pinks to the background of the sports? Would that look silly?? I am open to ANY suggestions!! I am just soooo excited to get started. hahahah

I don't know what kind of work has to be done but couldn't you worry about the big stuff first like the furniture, maybe neutral carpet(if you need it, I don't know) and paint the walls something for either boy or girl. Layla's room used to be the guest room and it was painted a pretty light yellow so I didn't have to repaint when I wa pg, yellow is for either gender but once you know what it is you can still use blue, pink, green...whatever colors you want will usually go with it great.

So I say get the big stuff out of the way, then from your 5th month or whenever you find out what it is, you can get the bedding and accessories...
