HI!
I am due May 16, 2007 and will hopefully find out our baby's gender on December 21st. I have been planning to decorate the nursery with a bird theme and have been trying to find crib bedding to match.

I'd rather not do Tweety or Big Bird and I really don't want to do rubber duckies either.

I've had so much trouble finding something with birds on it and wondered if someone could help? Maybe you've seen something along these lines? If so, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,
~Dawn

Google:

Dwell Baby
&
Serena & Lily Wren

Dwell offers a few options, and Serena & Lily's Wren is just breathtaking. The later is more expensive, but it's beyond gorgeous.

I love PBK's Sweet Birdie bedding! It is a little girly though. You could always use blue gingham or geen for the sheet and other colors but the quilt does still have some pink.
I'm sure it's on ebay as well...

Just thinking... you could also check your local craft stores and ebay for fabric appliques of birds and buy plain solid/gingham bedding, then iron on/sew the appliques onto the fabric.
A little birdhouse hanging in the corner would be cute as well!

You guys are just awesome! I don't know how I missed all of those. I love every one of them.
I had already found the Dwell "peeps" and really liked that one but DH wasn't in love with it as much as me.
Thank you SOOOOO much for your help. This really gives me alot more options than I thought.
If you have more, keep 'em coming.

TYTYTY!!!

you could use a bright color palette and decorate with birds on the accessories. www.javisdavis.com has some really pretty bright colors that would work for either boys or girls.

I like their bird pattern, but if you click on it, it takes you to the flowers instead. Hmm.

Just thought i'd update...

I ended up getting the crib set called "Cookoo Bird" by Banian. It was extremely hard to get a hold of. Seems as though it is now discontinued, but after weeks of persistance and calling all over the country I found a boutique in Virginia that had one set left. Originally it was quite an expensive set with many places selling it for well over $400. I got the 5 piece set for $99 plus $10 for shipping. Imagine my excitement!

I have no pictures yet, as the room has a long way to go. We are building a new house and I won't set up the nursery for a few months yet. I'm due in a couple of days and we are just using our spare bedroom as the temp. nursery for now. No decorating since we will be selling our house soon. I can't wait to put all my ideas together and finally have my "birdie" nursery complete.

And PS: I got the Rainforest Jumperoo. It is awesome. My 8 month old niece has it too and she totally loves it!
