It is a pain in the rear end to make the bumpers and skirt. The rest is really pretty simple. This will be the 3rd set I will be making. YOu have to look at the types of matrials you want to use and what it would cost to buyto. Yes you get the satisfaction of making it yourself but if its only a few dollars more to buy it already made its better to save yourself the stress because even for a avid sewer it can be stressfull. I will be glad to help with anypointers if you need or want them.
I didn't really have a hard time with it. I did make a few errors here and there. Like not putting the pads in the crib ahead of time and cutting off the extra fabric length that I didn't need. The pattern must have been for a larger crib is the only thing I can figure out.
As for the cost, it really isn't a whole lot cheaper to make depending on what you are using for inspiration. The set I was looking at was really pricey around 350.00. So I made a similar one for 150.00. But finding the perfect fabric was hard. But I am glad I did it. The results are perfect!
