Hey!

We are moving into a rental house soon. We can paint the walls, and we are even changing the flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. Unfortunately, the landlords just put new carpet in the bedrooms, and it's an awful dark pinkish/mauve color. We can't change that.

We want to do a gender neutral theme in the room; we will be finding out the sex of the baby, but neither of us are into the pink for girls and blue for boys thing. Our dilemma: What can we do in there that won't clash too horribly with the carpet????

Thanks!
Sonya

An ivory would go well with the carpet.

Maybe you could find a nice sized area rug to cover the carpet in the nursery, then you could put the furniture around the edges and not much of the ugly carpet would show! Then you would be able to decorate as you wish! Good Luck!

For mauve I would say a sage green. Maybe even some yellow for a gender neutral.

I think this might go well with your carpet! It has a couple shades of dark pink/mauve related colors in it and is very gender neutral ABCs

If you find out you're having a girl, I think this may work. It's not super "girly" or overwhelmingly pink.

This may match as well

This might be more maroon than you have but you may want to check for a match (gender neutral)

Hope some of that helps! there are 265 bedding sets here if you want to search more
