In Jake's old room he did have a border that went around his room in the middle of the walls (not a fan of them up at the ceiling).
Everyone's room is just painted now with various wall decorations (pictures, peg hooks, mirrors). I do have some wallies of flowers to put in Layla's room when we do it.
I think wallpaper is a pain. If you ever want to change the room, it's just a hassle to strip the old (we've done this twice now at our old house). Paint is much easier, imo.
We've painted, and used wall border in Brinlee's nursery. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER use wall border again. EVER. For Brinlee's toddler room, we've painted and used wall art, a shelf, her letters for her name, etc.
I painted my oldest sons and added a darker stripe along the wall. Then we actually attached a wooden train cut out that goes the whole length of his wall and in each window is an activity. There is a roll of paper in one window, a felt board in another and a chalk board in another. It is really cute and it was really easy to do.
My other sons is also painted. I then cut out large shapes in wood of a basketball, baseball and bat, football. and covered those with felt and used those to decorate the wall.
I was going to wall paper one wall in my nursery, but ended up just painting a design on the wall instead.
My mom and aunt are flying in from out of state next week and we're going to do the nursery then!!! I'll post pictures after we're done, but we plan on using two colors of paint, darker on bottom, lighter on top, with a border along the middle. It's a common idea but I think it'll look best with the bedding and colors we've picked.
Thank you so much, Jessica "dettmer26", for the beautiful siggie!
I painted the walla, a teal blue (cuz I bought the paint to paint our bedroom and never did) and instead of border I painted stars around the top of the room cuz his room is done in baby snoopy and alot of the accessories have a star and moon theme. I painted a snoopy mural on one wall. His name is above the changing table. I painted it with a moon, star cloud theme. variou snoopy pics hang around the room.
