My daughter is five months old and we are just now doing her nursery. We just moved countries and are currently renting so unfortunately will not be painting the walls.

I bought some wall letters to spell her name and stained them the colour of the crib and I don't like them. Her name is too long (Georgie), the letters are too blocky and with the letters being dark wood it makes her name look huge.

Here's what her room looks like now.....

I still have a few prints to hang on the wall of koala's

What colour do you think I should paint the letters? I would paint them a cream but they'll blend into the walls. I have ribbon the same colour as the orange blue and green in the bedding.

I would either paint the letters red, and use the ribbon that you have to hang them up with... maybe a different color ribbon on each one (orange, green, blue, orange, green, blue, orange, green). Another idea is to paint them each a different color... or paint a couple colors on each letter in a pattern. My daughter's letters are painted lavender and I put light pink polka dots on them, and her walls are a very bright spring green.

I'd paint them each a different color in the bedding. Or paint them one color and use the ribbons.

I would paint them all one color, a bold color (the red, green or blue that is in the bedding) and you can wrap the ribbons around the letters. =)
