I bought all my plain letters on Ebay for about $2.25 a letter, choice of font.

I use the acrylic craft paints (about .50 per small bottle) in colors that match the room they go in.

I've used stencils, I free hand, I've used decopauge(sp) stickers, I've used little wood shapes that I paint and glue to the letter. It all depends.

I always use a clear coat sealer after the letters are finished, to give a shiny look and make them easier to clean/dust and protect them.

I use a stapler to attach the ribbons to the letters, and sometimes tie bows at the top.

Hope that helps, maybe some of the more professional artists have some cool tricks they use.

I purchased wooden letters that spelled out Brinlee's name, paint, paint brushes, a small circle paint sponge for the polka dots... and then we needed nails to hang them and a hammer to hammer the nails in the wall. We also used a laser level to make sure the letters were straight... but that isn't necessary persay... you could use something else.

I bought wooden letters from walmart. 1.09 a piece. then i had paint. I used moon stencils and i painted the clouds myself. I used spraypaint to paint the letters before i painted the design on them. For the designs i used regular paint in the little container just regular craft paint.

I made letters for my neice and with hers i used ribbon. i used a staple gun to attach the ribbon to the back of the letter. I also used glitter paint on hers, i just brushed it over the letters to seal it. then i used a spray glaze used to coat fake flowers. its like a gloss it makes everything shiny and seals it.

You can buy the wooden letters at any craft store - I used acrylic paint to paint them and then attached ribbon with a hot glue gun to hang them up by
