We are wanting to redecorate Ella's room, because we are ALREADY really bored with what we have. DH and I both want to do a jungle/safari theme, and we both LOVE this bedding:

but we aren't sure if it is too "boy". I was thinking of putting a pink sheet and maybe pink ruffle or something, but it wouldnt really match.......What do you guys think? And anyone have suggestions to make it a little feminine? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are also wondering the exact same thing about the "Malawi" set from Kidsline:

I think the first set is kind of boyish but the second set on the other had I love for a girl or boy. Sorry no advice on making the first one feminine.

I agree. I think the first set is pretty boyish, but the second could be for either.

I love the first as well.
I see some red in it...very minimal, but what about playing off of that? Add a red dust ruffle or sheet, red curtains...some RED which can definately make it more feminine. Either way, go with what you love!

I say if people can name girls Michael then you can use any bedding you want!

I agree with Kandace... if you both love the first- go for it!!! It's not like she's not a girl if she has more boyish bedding.

I think playing up the light green would make it girlie enough. Maybe find lamps and things that are green with lace and get lacey curtains. Maybe put some shelves along a wall that you see from the doorway and load the shelves with jungle stuffed animals with the light green or cream bows around their necks. You can hot glue ribbons to the curtains and get large light green bows to tie on the four corners of her bed. Maybe replace whatever light fixture is on her ceiling with an inexpensive chandalier (sp?) to make the room girlie. Good luck!

I also really like the pink and orange jungle set someone found!

I really like the first one a lot!! I don't think it's boyish, it's just not really "girly". I don't think she will care either way and by the time (if) she does, you will probably want to do her room over anyway, lol! I think jungle/safari is neutral.
The pink one is really cute too, but I think I still prefer the 1st one.

The one I've picked is similiar to that-is yours at Target? Mine is....
I picked a more neutral since ours is a surprise, but we plan on throwing in more "gender" related items once the baby is born....

I like the 1st one but do agree it looks a bit boyish. I LOVE the 2nd one for a girl and REALLY LOVE the one by a prev poster. There is yet another that is kinda neutral but can def be played for a girl... it's a Walmart set, that is CHEAP (11pieces for $99) It's called Jungle Love. Here is a pic of it....

I think it would look great pulling the pinks and purples into the room for a girl!!!

I think they are all great. Just play up the girlie colours in the rest of the room!
