LOL! I'm so tired of the insinuation that it's taboo to snark on religion. I'm sick of being told, usually by someone who believes I'm holding a one-way ticket to hell, that I should still respect their opinions. Sorry, I don't have to respect the fact that adults believe in fairy tales. If the FSM site was snarking on scientology or something, I doubt people would get their knickers in such a twist!

I totally agree! When the hell did religion become exempt from ridicule and criticism? I'm so tired of hearing "Even if you don't believe, respect my belief." Um, NO. Respect the person, sure, but beliefs which I find ridiculous are fair game for ridicule. I don't run around demanding that people respect my belief that wearing a wig made of spaghetti noodles is quite fashionable because the invisible manbearpig riding in my pocket told me so. People would laugh and tell me that is ridiculous, as well they should! What makes their fantastical fairy tale claims any different?

Those people are seriously stupid. Several of them actually believe that FSM is a real religion that people follow and think is what really happened, rather than just a way to point out how ridiculous religious stories in general are. Those are the type of people there really is no reasoning with, not that you can reason with many religious people in the first place.

lol yeah it just strikes me as funny cause those same religious people who are so upset that their religion is being "made fun of" will turn around and do the exact same thing to other religions or atheists!! they bash and poke fun and everything else but its "okay" cause they are "christian" ugh lol
