So, my old OB/GYN is no longer practicing and my records were transferred over to another practice within the same hospital. No biggie. I was at the hospital yesterday and decided to swing in and make an appointment with then for my annual check up.
I walk in and I am stunned. The walls are plastered with elaborate gold-leaf bible verses and crosses everywhere. I felt like this is what the lobby of one of those mega churches must look like. So I went ahead and made an appointment, gave me the paperwork to fill out with my assigned doctors name. I went to the trusty internet and found out this this guy is DEEPLY involved with Focus on the Family and Save-A-Life. Actually, the whole practice is. Most seem to be heading up the medical aspects of these facilities or serving as directors on the boards.
Yep, after I get my Pap, I am finding a new doctor.
My OB did have a small nativity set up in his area of the practice at Christmas time, but I am not sure who decorated. I doubt my actual doctor had the time. It made me a little sad to see it, just like the "Doctor's prayer" picture hanging in an exam room at my son's ENT office, but nothing as overboard as what you are describing. I would have run away too.
