What makes you dread this time of year??? I know that many holidays are coming up and most of them have nothing to do with religion, and shouldn't but yet they seem to stake claim to these holidays and try and ruin them with their beliefs.

Halloween is the favorite holiday in our house. I don't know how many morons I have dealt with in the past few years about this holiday and Christianity and Paganism.

Thanksgiving is also fast approaching. I hate that this holiday is over run by Christians who feel the need to insert god into it. The entire holiday was created because of religious freedom, not to celebrate god.

And of course...Christmas. Who can forget the biggest holiday of them all. I dread DREAD DREAD this holiday. It is so full of commercialism and church and it makes me sick!!! We have pretend xmas only because the kids are still really little. They both still believe in Santa, and I am sad that this may be the last year for that. But it also means its time to give up all the traditions that go with it, including making my children believe in something that is false. We do the whole kit and kaboodle, cookies and milk, reindeer droppings and foot prints to the house. It's fun, but now I just want to enjoy the holidays with my kids without having all the hassle that is Santa.

What are your biggest concerns about the holidays? What do you do about religious family members?

I like all the Holidays.

Well I guess Thanksgiving is the least thrilling for me as I'm a vegetarian and don't really enjoy many of the traditional thanksgiving foods. But I do enjoy the whole family get together aspect of all of the holidays.

I always loved Christmas as a kid. It was never a very religious or commercial experience in our house; but Santa and the anticipation of the day made it magical for me, so I hope to give some of that to my kids.

I love them all too. We just go with the flow and do our own thing.

Thanksgiving is fabulous. All of my favorite foods at once. It's almost too much to deal with, like a foodgasm or something. Oh MAN. But it is a holiday I dread, because I ALWAYS have to work 12-14 hours on Black Friday.

I really like all holidays. For my family, even the religious ones, those days are never religious in nature. They are more about being together...eat, drink and be merry.

I enjoy the holidays also. I do get tired of all the religious propaganda that automatically comes with the holidays but for the most part, we just do our own thing and ignore all that religious mumbo-jumbo For us, the holidays are just a time to spend with family and eat yummy food

we love the holidays here. I start decorating for christmas the day after hallowe'en

My family is Catholic..though none of us practicing in the least. Religions has never been an issue during any of the holidays. My sister recently has started saying grace before meals..and she does with her kids when we are all together..so I imagine Christmas dinner will be the same..but it wont be a big deal
