I've read the entire Xian bible, which is one of the reasons I'm such a dedicated atheist. I went into the reading very skeptical, but willing to accept, but found absolutely nothing of substance. This was when I was 12, I started questioning dogma at an earlier age than most!

I would love to read some other holy texts, but with the current feelings of hatred and fear I'm afraid to even checkout a copy of the Muslim or Jewish holy books from the library. Has anyone else read through any of these books? Speaking of, I really could stand a refresher on the Xian bible. I don't have a print copy anymore so I guess I need to spend even more time on line.

Where do I start? lol

Well, if you've read the Old Testament in the bible, that is pretty much Judaism...well, with the Tanak.

I've read the Tao, much of the HB (Old Testament & New Testament), even the Satanic Bible (which is basically an atheistic text). I've read Hindu texts (Vedas), texts on the Kabbalah, Tibetan Book of the Dead, Egyptian Book of the Dead, The Holy Books of Thelema...I have a closet full, literally.

A good online resource for e-texts is here: Sacred Texts

Baby is sleeping

I have read (read NT first then OT later) a great majority of the Holy Bible (I had to skip most of the begats, even when I was a Christian I had to skip those, ugh.) I have read some of the Tao Te Ching And I have read a lot of the Hadith, I wanted to read the Koran, but it was really bible-ish IMO and didn’t have the patience, so I went to the Hadith, and I can honestly say that after reading some of that, I can see where extremist Muslims get some of their crazy views.
