Did they teach logic at your school/college? I had to do logic in math and as a separate subject (explored more beyond just 'proofs').
In society, we seem to accept logic everywhere except in the case of religion. For example, burden of proof. As a society, we place the burden of proof on the person making the claim. Prosecution lawyers have the burden of proof; they are accusing the defendant of a crime and prove his guilt. When it comes to religion, however, people like to say "you can't prove God doesn't exist"

Nope, I went to a Catholic school. Just because it was the best school. My Gran lied and said we were from a parish back where my Dad lived, and that I was baptized and confirmed - yep I guess if I was a believer I'd be going to hell for that, lying to nuns and such.
They did have a mandatory Religion class but I got out of it by threatening to make a stink in the papers about how they were holding me back from taking an academic class by forcing me to take a class that had no place in my plans for my future. It was a bit of a battle but in the end I got to take a sociology class instead. Victory!
