I had a miscarriage the beginning of December. I have not yet had a period, but my doctor said to wait to have at least 3 healthy, normal periods before we try again. Have any of you had a miscarriage, and how long did you wait? How long did your doctors tell you to wait?

You might want to discuss it with your dr. I know woman tend to be most fertile after a m/c but is there areason your dr wants you to wait. it might be worth it to wait to ensure a healthy pg!

Good Luck and check out the TTC after a miscarriage board!

Hi there, I too had a miscarriage in July and also had a d&c done my doctor told me to wait one month to make sure everything was cleaned out and back on track, I would listen to your doctor, but if you feel in your heart you are ready, then you do it when you choose. that is what people told me also, but if you feel you should wait, then that is what you do. I have been trying now for 4 months and no such luck. I am hoping this is my month, I just keep my fingers crossed. Hope everything works out for you this time arond, I know what you are going through. Good luck.

Hi Carah-so sorry to hear of your loss. It is heart breaking.

I have had four misscarriages-after the first one the doctor told us to wait three months also, which I did. After the second one they said the same thing so I asked what the reason is. He said that they recommend it mostly for emotional reasons. I would recommend waiting one full cycle in order to get your body on track.
Best of luck to you.
