What do you avoid during the 2WW?

For example do you avoid cleaning the cat litter box during the 2WW?

Here is my list:
alcohol
caffeine
sugar substitutes
exercise that increases my heartrate above 140

I just avoid alcohol, and letting Jakob jump on me too much. Oh and trying not to stress out too much...

I guess, it's official then, I am trully obsessed because during the 2WW I avoid pretty much everything I would avoid while pg. The only thin I still "risk" is cleaning the litter box becasue DH just doesn't do it as often as I would like.

I wouldn't say I avoid anything.....I just set limits on things. I have one cup of coffee in the AM rather than 2 or 3. Try to drink more water. Rarely I may have one glass of wine (only on special occasions)....rather than 2 or 3. The litter box thing...I've had my cats for so long and they are both indoor cats, so if they ever had toxoplasmosis, I've already been exposed to it....don't tell DH that though...he's agreed to clean it while I'm pg! I figure complete withdrawal from things I enjoy could put more stress on my body.

Can I ask why you all stop exercising? I'm not sure I've read anything about that. I'm at 13dpo now, and I've been exercising throughout...I hope that isn't hindering my chances! As for things I've given up -- alcohol, of course, most caffeine, and artificial sweetners. Have also tried to cut waaaaay back on stress.

Yeah, I'm curious as to why you all stop exercising too. I've heard/read that exercising is a GOOD thing, since it gets you in shape for labor/delivery. Not ALL kinds of exercise is good, but there are a lot of things that are ok, aren't there?

I have not avoided anything in my 2ww because I don't want to jinxs anything. It is like taking a test on the day your pd is due, your bound to get af. So I go around that by taking the test at 13 dpo and then if I don't get af on day 28 I will take another one on the 29th day.

I know sounds crazy but I look at it like this...most of our parents drank and smoked when they knew they were prego with us....we all pretty much turned out fine I think How many people drink, smoke, clean litter boxes etc before they even know they are prego in the first 3 months? If it is not done to the extreme I just go with it until I know I am prego and then it is 1 cup of coffee a day, maybe 1 glass of wine a week, I cont. cleaning the liter box with a mask and gloves and well just go with the flow.

I avoid alcohol after cd 12, I also do not do any real heavy lifting towards the end of the 2ww but I absolutley do not avoid exercising-it is so good for you. My ob actually recommends low impact exercising, he says that being healthy and exercising increases your chances of ttc-blood flow etc. My cat is also full time indoors so I don't worry about that much until I am actually pg and then I just let dh do it because he will. I don't go to extremes avoiding caffiene even when I am pg. I have 2-3 cans of diet mountain dew a day and a cup of cocoa if I'm feeling daring. There are many charts that show how much caffiene is okay etc. and coffee can be an issue but only if you are drinking quite a bit of it. So I don't really ever give that up, diet pop isn't that full of it. I only eat seafood once a week, the doctor said twice a week is probably okay but only once a week is better. I quit smoking while ttc and have only slipped once and that was when af was visiting and I was treating myself to a drink and it only happened that one day when I knew I wasn't pg. I do recommend quiting smoking and drinking completely when pg-the first 10 weeks is the most important part of developing that baby. I know that our parents etc. drank some, smoked some while ttc and early pg but studies are so clear on the dangers of that that I won't do it at all, but that's just me.
I too try to avoild poas during the tww!!! Too funny!!!

I don't avoid exercise but avoid getting my heartrate above 140 becasue I read this can elevate temp too much and hurt the developing baby.
