For those of you who have used Mucinex (or something like it) to enhance EWCM. How long before your expected O date do you start taking it?

I don't really remember how to use it very well, but looking back at my old charts... it seems I started it pretty much as soon as I was completely done with AF and spotting... and took it on through to O. Looking at those charts I also had DAYS of EWCM lol so it must have worked!

Anyone else have suggestions about the Mucinex?

I started it this cycle and I started it about 4-5 days before I usually O and I have been having LOTS of EWCM!!! I have been thinking I will O everyday since lol! I have the 400mg walmart brand and take it 2-3 times a day and try to drink tons of water. Which reminds me I need to go take it sine I might still be waiting to O if it didnt happen yet today!!! GL I hope it works well for you!!

There is gaufinessin (sp?) in the medication that thins cervical fluid. It is helpful for those who don't have an abundant supply or even any truly fertile CM.

Robitussin works as well. It is the guaifenesin which is an expectorant that thins your mucus. You would normally use either robitussin or musinex for a cold but it thins all your mucus so it is used in TTC as well.
