Everything I have read said you should not take an OPK in the morning....but does that mean if you get a surge in the morning, it's not a true surge?

I woke at 4am (DS3 woke with a nightmare). Tested at 8:30am and got a + opk. Should I trust it? Will testing early in the morning give you a false positive? It's CD17 in the pic below.

I think you should trust it, but you never know and I'm not good at these tests. Sorry I can't help more.

When I get close to O time, I test in the morning and retest in the afternoon. This is because of my work schedule.

If I get a + in the morning, it is usually still + in the afternoon. I would count it.

They just say not to use FMU because it is more concentrated.

Thanks everyone. I think I can trust it.... took another at 10am, and the test line was much darker than the control line (first time I've ever had an OPK that dark!)

Time to get busy!
