So this cycle we decided to try the SMEP, and yesterday was CD8. Last night everything was going well, until DH and I got into a scrap...needless to say, we did not BD last night like we were supposed to. However, we made up this morning and managed to BD before he left to work... I'm just frustrated b/c I wanted to follow the plan to the letter and we couldn't even get started properly! I'm going to count this morning's activities as though it were CD8 and just continue on CD10 etc...never thought I would get this anal about a BD schedule! Grrrrrr.

LOL...funny what TTC turns us into, huh? I wouldn't sweat it too much. You got it in...that's what matters. Hope SMEP works for you. That's basically what we are doing minus the OPKs and stuff.

So true! Normally DH's libido is WAY higher than mine, and these days I virtually have to bribe him some nights...one quick question...I am off to buy my first box of OPK...is there a brand that any of you ladies would recommend?

Not to sound stupid, but what is SMEP? And, I know what you mean by having to bribe DH into bed! For the last five years since we have been married he has been bribing me...now all of the sudden HE is too tired! WTH!!! LOL...

Its funny but for the first time since my m/c in October I ran across this Sperm Meets Egg Plan (SMEP) I had seen it mentioned in posts before but I just thought it was a cute way of saying BD or getting preggo...Lo and behold, its actually a schedule for BDing! CD8, CD10, start your OPK on CD10 and continue BDing every other day until you get a +OPK, then BD for three night in a row, take one night off and then BD one last time. Whew! Apparently this method is a commonly used one post-miscarriage (Wish I would have read it in November!) Anyway, hoping for the best.

I know! It amazes me that with all this action that we still have not made "contact"! DH and I BD'd 7 days in a row last month!! Yikes!! And BFN...although maybe there is something to be said for the "every other day" idea.
