You can't really depend on your CP as a symptom of being pregnant. It can very so much and every woman is so different. As long as it is closed and stays closed, that is good. My CP when I got my bfp was soft and med/high. I hope it is a good sign for you.
I had the same question so I asked my ob, and she said that all women when pregnant will have a high up cp, and it will be soft, it just depends on the woman as to when it happens. Some women do not have the softer, higher up until much later than others. I have the same thing right now, it is higher, soft around the opening and not as hard as before I ovulate. Maybe we will be in the same club! When is AF due? Mine is due a week from today! Baby Dust!!
