Hi Ladies,

I am so confused. Here goes. I took clomid first cycle on cd 5-9. My doc told me to start bd around cd 14 (today)- cd20. Here is the problem. The OPK are not registering an LH line or a super faint one. BUT my cm was an abundance of EW (TMI I know sorry), when I went to the bathroom this afternoon. My cp is also higher and a little softer. DO you have experience with this? Are you fertile even if the line is not registering? My temps pre-ovulatory are 97.6, yesterday it was 97.2 and today 97.0. So I have no idea what is going on. ANy thoghts please I am going nuts here!!!!!!!

I don't know how helpful this will be, but...I took clomid my last cycle. Also cd 5-9. I didn't hit my LH surge until cd 21!! I used an OPK to determine this, I'm not really sure how to check those other things!!

That was my experience. My cycles are also seemingly "excessively" long. 36 days.

Hope it helps. It may be possible too if all other signs are pointing to ovulation, that the test sticks aren't registering it correctly?

good luck!

I've never taken clomid, but I know that sometimes OPK's just don't work right for people. Therefore, I wouldn't take a chance and I'd assume you ARE fertile! Get to BDing, girl!!!

I'm one of those people for whom OPKs never worked right! I never detected a surge, but I ended up ovulating and getting pg (this was with my 1st pgcy). Like the pp said, I would listen to your body and keep bd'ing as long as you have fertile CM. Good luck!!

I used OPK's with my second pregnancy, and according to them, I never ovulated. Wonder how I got pregnant then? I would not rely on the OPK's. Go with CM and get to the bedroom NOW. Good luck

I guess I won't listen to them, DH and I got into a spat tonight so maybe we will make up!

I just cannot believe that people use those and the lines don't show up and they still get pregnant. Thanks!

I just got my fertility monitor and was reading through it when I came across this:

Can I use the Fertility Monitor if I am taking Clomid?

Yes, you may still use the Fertility Monitor if you are taking clomiphene citrate (sold under the brand name Clomid and other brands), but please be aware that the Fertility Monitor may not reliably detect High Fertility (it might indicate artificial days of High Fertility). However, it may still be possible to detect Peak Fertility. Therefore, if you are taking clomiphene citrate and trying to conceive, you may still benefit from using the Fertility Monitor. ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN FIRST.

Hope that helps and answers your question as to why it isn't detecting ovulation! And good luck and lots of baby dust!

I would go by what your body is doing, not the OPK.

Oh my gosh thank you so much for posting that info! I love having you guys! I have been so upset today and feeling like I am going crazy. DH came home at lunch and had performance anxiety which made it so much worse. TMI----LOL! I hate that it did not pick it up, I really think I am because I am cramping sooo bad, and have had EW CM, and robitussin or mucinex does not give you that. I am going crazy!

i totally agree. I don't like OPK's. My guess is that you are having the temp dip before the rise, so I would definitely bd at least today and then tomorrow or Friday. Just keep bd every other day until you see your temp go up.
