For those of you charting, does your temp usually drop before ovulation and then spike when you ovulate? This is my first month really temping and my temp dropped significantly and I'm due to Ovulate in a couple days...so I'm wondering if this is normal?

It's normal as far as I know. I always have a pre-O dip.

This was my first month charting and it happened to me. My chart:My Ovulation Chart
I think I ovulated on the 30th due to my opks, cm , and temp----but I am not sure because I am new at charting.

Shoppermom:I would agree with that, sometimes it only takes 12 + hours after a pos OPK, I would say your temp rises after O because thats when your temp rises due to progesterone rising.

Not always, but usually my temp will drop a little the day of O. You should see a thermal rise the day after O, but for some people it can stair step up for a few days, rather than shooting up a full degree.

I always get a really obvious temp rise but I dont really see a pre-O temp dip. Some people do and some people dont. Either is normal. Thats why I also use OPK.
