Ok so I know that an OPK can be positive if you are preggers or o'ing. I am on my cd32 and expecting af today. My breasts have been sore, I'm breaking out, I felt a little faint the other day, certain smells are making me sick. Now, I know that you shouldn't use an opk as a hpt..but I have been using them the past couple days and the past 2 they have been blairing positive. I haevn't been temping this month. I usually do and since I have been taking soy on days 3-7 I have been o'ing on cd 16.So my question is has anyone had a pos opk before getting a bfp???
I am definitly going to take a hpt as soon as i can get to the store. I sooo scared because I have been trying for the past 2 years and have had a couple m/c and now my husband and I are doing a trial seperation thing..uhh...thanks for listening ladies.
Sound like you have a lot of pregnancy symptoms. I have some experience with OPK and pregnancy. After I had my D&C from miscarriage I started using ovulation tests not knowing that HCG can make them positive and while I still had HCG in my system I was getting positive ovulation tests every day. I really hope its a BFP for you but I would definatly go get a pregnancy test. Good Luck!
Congrats!!! I was kinda thinking you would get a BFP. You can use an OPK as an HPT but have to keep in mind that unless it's a positive result (as dark or darker than control) then you can't count on it being positive for pregnancy. Because you always have LH in your system, blah blah blah. But since I usually have lots of OPK's and a few HPT's I sometimes will use an OPK to see first...then if it's dark try an HPT. Just like you did! Have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
