So, I had decided I was going to lay low this cycle and "take a break" from trying to hard (if thats even possible). I have been feeling that something wasn't right (we are in cycle 6 now) and my Dr had said if we weren't PG after 6 cycles, to come back. Well, I couldn't wait and we went in friday, which just so happened to be day CD26 - perfect for bloodwork. Unfortunately, it was just what I thought - I am not O'ing. They have called in a scrip for clomid and if AF comes wednesday as she should, I start clomid this weekend and hopefully will O this month and have a BFP! I am still waiting for the rest of my test results, but today they told me my thyroid is normal, but i am not Oing. Wednesday I should get my prolactin results. I am so glad I listened to my gut and went in on friday. I would have hated to have to wait another whole cycle without anything. The only issue I am having with all of this is I am feeling inferior, which I know is stupid. I just feel like I can't perform one of the basic functions of life, getting pg on my own, the very thing that makes me a woman. Yes, these thoughts are silly, especially since i know there are so many women that go through this, but then I look at people who just share soap and get pg and it reaffirms my insecurities.
Anyone have any advice about clomid? I have heard it can make you a little nuts Also, anything we should/should do (besides dtd) while on clomid? food to avoid? I want all of your expertise ladies!!!! Thanks in advance!
I'm glad you were able to get some answers and now you can move forward with the clomid. I have no experiencing using it. And I'm sorry to hear you're feeling inferior. But just wanted to add I have a friend that conceived her first child quickly without any issues and then the second time around it took her a while and ended up using clomid and she did get pregnant. It just shows how each pregnancy and getting pregnant can be different even for the same person.
Good luck on the clomid and hope to hear you're BFP soon!
