34 (35 on Sept. 24th)
TTC (Off and on for a year or two)
We have not been TTC nor taking BC for the past 2 years. I am starting to get worried. I am getting *OLD* and I feel like I will never have the child that I have wanted forever. We waited a bit later in life as my husband was military and broke his neck in the line of duty. We wanted him to be in better physical condition (and he is now) but I keep getting my period of BFN.
So, I FINALLY got an OPK test kit and have been using it for a few months.
Welcome to the board! I'm sorry to hear about your DH but am glad to hear he's doing better . Have you gone to a fertility specialist or anything like that? I know a lot of girls who have PCOS and went to one and are now pregnant or have babies.
This board is full of amazing woman who are supportive and informative. I've been TTC#2 for 8 months now, and if it wasn't for these ladies I'd be constantly crying.
I really hope you get your bfp soon!!
Oh, I'm Natasha (22) and my DH is Chris (23) and we have one daughter who is 31 months.
Hi, Tinkerbella. I'm 32 and TTC #1. We're only in the third cycle of trying, but I have the same thoughts as you sometimes. Did I wait too long? It's frustrating. I've been off the pill for three years (though using the pull-out method), and I sometimes think, why on earth was there never an accident in that time. But we just have to do our best to make it happen and can't think about all the what-ifs!
Glad you got the OPK test kit this cycle. I hope you find them useful. I used a 7-day kit last cycle, and all of my tests came back negative. I've been charting, though, so I realized that I ovulated very late in my cycle and have a short luteal phase. I'm using OPKs again this cycle and trying to elongate my LP with B-6.
If you're not charting, I highly recommend that you start. I have found it so helpful. I've been able to adjust little things each cycle, to hopefully improve my chances of conceiving.
If it's any inspiration, a co-worker of mine is 46 years old and due with her first child in October. So if she can have a happy, healthy pregnancy, us gals in our 30s surely can!
