Chemical as in what? Is there a particular type of chemical is smells like? If it's yeasty smelling discharge, similar to beer, it could potentially be a yeast infection. Is there any change in color to it? Can you describe the texture?

Have you had sex recently? Sounds like perhaps it could be semen?

Are you monitoring the changes in your CM (cervical mucus, or discharge)? If not, it could just be that it's going through it's normal pattern, but you're more aware of it. Typically in a cycle, you go from AF, to dry or sticky, to creamy, to watery, to an eggwhite consistency in your CM, then it typically can go back to creamy or dry after you've ovulated. Does is sound like any of the above?

If there's no other symptoms that you're having and there is no strange color to it (white, milky, or clear are all normal) and if there's no foul smell, then I'd put my money on it either being his swimmers or your CM! HTH!

It really could just be an infection, maybe a mild yeast infection or even a urinary tract infection. You can buy tests (another kind of pee stick) that will tell you if you have a UTI or yeast infection. You can purchase them near the pregnancy tests/Monistat. You might start there. Just a thought.

Heck, if you find them to be too expensive (they kinda are), it might be worth a doctor's visit. If you don't have any other symptoms, though, maybe just wait it out for a couple of days to see if it goes away.
