DH really scared me today! We were in the car in a parking lot (thank goodness) and DH started to get a bad nose bleed...he pinched his nose and everything..but then he got really pale and had hard time breathing. DS was in he back getting scared at what was happening. I was very close to calling 911 when DH came back from his lack of breathing and was able to talk to me. I then drove us all back home...he's ok now but just pale still. It scared me so bad! I'm so not good with people getting sick lol I still can't get the image of his eyes rolling to back of his head while he had hard time breathing...

Oh goodness! That is really scary. I'm glad he's OK now. He probably needs some food to help replace the blood loss and some rest and he'll feel better.

Does he get nose bleeds often?

Wow that does sound scary!!! Does he have blood pressure issues that you know of? It may not hurt to have a doctor visit and ask them... Hope he feels better now!

I was actually googling this and found this is a common symptom of blood pressure issues. Yeah he may need to see a doc soon. About a year ago for our life insurance we got physicals and they didn't say he had bad blood pressure then...but a lot can change in a year.

I was about to say that. I had a friend who discovered she had very high blood pressure because she had a terrible nose bleed one day that just didn't want to stop. Definitely worth getting checked out.

It is awfully scary to see the man you love, your rock, randomly have some kind of terrifying health episode.

A few months back, DH and I were in the car (he was driving), when a headache he'd been nursing all day suddenly got very intense. He literally lost the ability to speak for like 30 seconds, and could only say a few words, very slowly, for at least 5 minutes afterward. He was very confused and disoriented, and to top it off, he had progressive numbness in his arm. Went to the emergency room, where we were promptly ignored for a couple hours, before the doctor realized that he was having stroke symptoms (DH is 22!). Thank God, the tests all came back fine, and the ER doc diagnosed it as a complex migraine with neuro symptoms. It was, hands down, one of the scariest times of my life!

So yeah, get him checked out, and have a good long cuddle on the couch tonight. Have a good cry if you think it might help that knot in your chest. What a horrid feeling.
