I'm gonna try OPK this cycle. Just confused as to when you start testing? Like which cycle day? I'm a regular 28 cycle. Or do you start testing when you get CM?

Oh and another question and this might be total TMI! Buuut I'm gonna start using pre-seed too..my question is I see that you put it inside you before you BD...but my DH likes foreplay on his um..member...before we BD..(and I'm thinking the oral sex before BDing is what's making us not get preg) sooo...my question is can I use the preseed on him too? Told you it was TMI! But I just see on the preseed sites that they only mention using it on the woman...

Since this is your first time using OPKs you might want to start early, maybe around CD 9/10ish just to make sure you don't O early. Chances are, though, you won't get a positive for a couple days after that. Once you've used them for a couple cycles you can start to pick up a pattern and figure out when it's really best to start.

Do you have the cheapie OPKs? Buying them in bulk online makes me feel like I'm not really wasting them even though I'm testing way too early.

I usually start testing around CD 10 or 11. I know I usually get a + OPK around CD 15 or 16. Once I start getting a 2nd line (because I usually get start white tests until I am close) I test twice a day since I seem to have a short surge and I am a POAS addict. I know everyone one is a little different so maybe a little earlier would be better if you have extra tests and can figure out your pattern.

Well we just got our taxes back (eeep!) so I was gonna just buy some at the store...and my AF just ended and lately I've been getting CM about 3 to 4 days after AF...so prolly I should start testing this week. Don't really have time to order online and they get back in time but I might order some for the next cycle as well. I don't expect anything to happen right away...although I wouldn't complain!

Thank you ladies for the advice!!! *hugs*

Good luck! I know answers are only like $20 for 20 tests and I know I have used walgreens off brand with success which I I beleive were a little cheaper yet. I never seem to plan far enough in advance to buy the ICs.

I would highly recommend you getting OPK IC online for next cycle as you can go through alot of them to try to catch your surge. I would start at CD7-8 sinc you dont know your patternm yet and test every day at the same time preferably between afternoon and early evening until you start to see the line getting darker then you can test twice a day so you dont miss your surge. I usually start on CD10 then i'll O usually by CD14 but my surge is short so if i dont test often i will miss it. I usually get a positive around 12-3pm. Regarding the preseed i'm sure it wouldnt hurt to use it on DH but its pretty pricey so just use it sparingly. its easier to confirm O when you temp Do you temp??

Its not too late to start temping. As long as you have a few temps in before you O then it'll be able to see the thermal shift. Its good to know that you O'd some women get a +opk but dont O so you would like to know that you are indeed Oing you know. You can use fertility friend to enter in your information...its very easy to navigate...just click on my chart in my siggy to register. Cant wait to chart stalk you

It is absolutely not too late to start temping. You will be able to get a good idea of how your temp ranges/changes throughout your cycle and it is such a great feeling to see that temp shift and know that you have ovulated. It is also great to be able to know AF is on her way when/if you start seeing your temp plummet. For me I see it drop before AF comes, but some see it after. If you start temping make sure to set up your home page on FF and put it in your siggy on JM...we love to be able to chart stalk!

Ok, the other girls have the OPK's covered, I have recently become a pre-seed expert!!!!

First of all, put it inside you before you start any foreplay. After you put it inside you, bare down a little so the extra comes out. Its really easy to use too much! I only use 3g on the reusable tube.

And of course you can use it on him. My DH LOVE it! hahaha It does feel really natural, and doesn't get sticky or oily...it feels like the real thing! You'll love it! I think I will continue to use it after I get my BFP and...well...forever! lol
