Does anyone here know anything about checking for O using cervical position. I started checking this just 3 days ago. I know that I O'd around 5-7 days ago, so right now I'm just trying to figure out what I'm checking for. But how long after O is the cervix supposed to descend back to a low position? The first day I checked it seemed high and open, yesterday was about the same, and then today it is so high that I could barely reach it with the very tip of my finger. So I was just wondering if this is normal.

Your cervix is usually high soft and open when you are fertile. Once you ovulate it will become closed, but can remain high or come down, it is different for everyone. HTH

I was just wondering this myself! According to opk's I O'd Friday but my cervical position is still high (higher than before but maybe I was just in a different position when I checked so it felt different), so I think it depends on the person if it remains high or not. I can't feel mine either, even though my ovulation was Friday and my lh is so light on opk's I've been taking to make sure, I know i didn't read it wrong. Are you sure you ovulated then?

I'm pretty sure I O'd on last Wed. I had all the normal O symptoms, and least what is normal for me. Massive amnt of CM on Mon, and Tues., and Wed. CM dried up on Thurs. I had pains in my pelvic area on Wed so I started temping Thurs. am, I know I should have started way sooner but didn't think of it. Temp was low on Thurs, and shot up on Fri. So it could have been Thurs for O. I know I wasn't fertile after Thurs because no CM at all. I started having +OPK on Mon and they continued til Sun was my 1st real -OPK, but OPK have never been accurate for me. So I guess I'm real confused right now. Still trying to learn about all of the different ways to check everything. You'd think I'd be better at this now since this is the 2nd time around and I had PCOS problems last time too, but there's just too much to keep up with. Plus I think my BBT was not reading accurately so I bought a new one today.
Also not sure about whether my cervix was open or not since I don't really know what that should feel like and I've had 1 baby. But he was an emergency C-section since I never dilated past 8cm.

Hmm that is strange. I feel like I definitely O'd on Friday because I had all my normal symptoms too. I didn't temp this month, but just the extra wet feeling on top of the opk... But I'm still not sure why our cervixes are getting higher... I just googled it and read that if you're pregnant, your cervix will lower after ovulation and then rise back up again, but for me, 3 days seems too soon for it to do that. Especially since I checked my cp yesterday and i could feel it, but today I can't... Like I said, it could just be we were in slightly different positions when we checked. I also have creamy cm... How is yours (tmi, i know, just curious now because of our CP).
Does anyone have any educated input on this?

Don't worry about TMI with me. I've worked in a Dr office for along time doing reception work, from Family Practice, to Cardiology, to Oncology where I am now. Trust me I've heard it all.
As far as my CP. Like I said I've only tested 3 days, but it seemed high the first 2 days, I could reach it easy enough though. Then today it had risen and I could barely touch it at all and that was with pushing in as far as I could.
The CM for me has been creamy also but only around the cervix. Nothing is making it down far enough to see when I wipe.
I know it's too early but I've also been having the same symptoms that I had with my 1st baby. But I think I'm bringing those on with all the things I've been thinking about and all the checking I've been doing. I think I should just keep charting in the mornings and then forget about it for the rest of the day and relax. As if that could really happen.

Hehe just making sure I don't offend.
Yesterday my CP was somewhat high but I could easily reach it, today I couldn't, so I dont know. I've only checked the position on and off though. My cm is creamy but not really there when I wipe, just about halfway up to my cervix. I can't recall if that always happens though, because my cycles used to be more irregular, I was used to focusing more on figuring out when I was going to O and my cm before, rather than the quality of my cm after. Lol
Relax? Ha! I keep telling myself to do that and I can't help but test SOMETHING everyday. Lol my cm, my cp, opk, frer... Lol I guess all we can do is wait and see since cp and cm changes person to person quite a bit.
