This is a little off topic and a bit of a vent. In december my dad was diagnosed with a stage 4 aggressive brain tumor. They removed it and he is a week away from completing 6 weeks of chemo and radiation. He was doing sooo good until a week ago and now he is just as bad if not worse than when they found it.

I am just so sad that i have not had a bfp to share with him and now if i get one he probably won't get to meet his new grandchild. It just breaks my heart.

I know i need to thank god he got to meet my dd and will hopefully get to come to her 1st bday party in 2 weeks but i am struggling to be positive today.

Sorry to have such a downer of a post but i just had to get that out.

When my Grandpa was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer they told him he had less than 6 months to live. He opted out of chemo/treatment and lived a full year longer than they told him he would.
I'm sorry you're going through this right now. Make it count but don't let them put an expiration date on him, everyone is so different. I hope his health turns around quickly.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Its never easy to see a loved one sick, and knowing that you can not help them. But you can make sure he has a smile on his face. I really hope and pray that he gets better. BUt if not, always know that he WILL be watching over you, and he WILL get to see that special moment when you get your BFP!!!! My father died 25 years ago (in May). And I have to remind myself that even though he is not here, he still sees everything. (Just from a better view) it helps put a smile on my face.

I also have a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer, and is currently going through cemo treatments. She started approx 1 months ago, and has lost her hair. Her appointments are every friday.... So I wear a head scarf on the days she goes that way she doesnt have to wear one alone... She loves the idea...

I just wanna offer you bunches of hugs hun!! We are here for you!!!!

I know you want to be there so much for your dad and his wife, and it is hard when you are 2 hours away... Can you visit on the weekends?????

Thoughts and prayers going out to you and your family. But remember...what docs say isn't always true and he could end up living a lot longer. My Grandma lived a year and half longer than they said she would when they found out she had stage 3 breast cancer.

I try to get there as much as possible. I will for sure be there next weekend. I almost got in the car and drove there today but i have to travel for work on monday and have so much to get done before i go.

You are right he will always be watching over us. I must remember that.

On the bright side my crazy dd is making me laugh with her goofy antics. Love that girl!

Oh man. I'm sorry to hear the news about your dad. That is pretty much the most heartbreaking news one could hear. KUP

I know this is going to be a rough time for you. Remember you always have and ear and a shoulder cry on in with your JM family.
