So, I woke up this morning to a HUGE temp jump. Like HUGE. I'm about to O in a few days and usually my temps start to go down, or at least if it does fluctuate it NEVER goes above 97.3 or 97.4, but then it drops for 2-3 days before Oing. That's standard for me.
Well this morning, on CD11, it's 98.04. My post O temps range from 97.6 to 98.2.
I am super regular, and even last night I got excited b/c, per norm, I started to get EWCM, like I always start to around CD10. But this temp rise has got me thinking that this will be my first cycle to not O, and that coming off that medicine last Tues. has really jacked with my cycle.
NO! I have to O this month! I hate getting all excited and hopeful for each month & the realization is we can try, try and try, but then not actually O. So frustrating.

Is it possible you just O'd early, like yesterday? I O'd on CD10 our successful cycle and had never O'd that early before. Typically, if you're not going to O, your temps will just hover around pre-O temps and never jump.
Were there any outlying factors that could've caused for temp to artificially rise? Disturbed sleep last night, late temping, etc?

Oh Katie, I pray that I did not O early as DH and I won't even have a shot b/c he's been sick. I took my temp at 6:30AM, my normal time this morning. I slept like a baby last night as DH and I are both fighting off something. Oh I so hope that I didn't O early... What a waste of a month if I did.

Well, if that's the case, then FX'd that it's NOT an O spike and it's a result of whatever you're fighting. That can totally cause your temp to rise like that, too. Hopefully tomorrow's temp will drop way back down to pre-O levels!

Let's hope (well not hope because that's just crappy, but hope as in it makes sense a little) that your higher temps are just a wee little baby fever?

Noooooooo. Fingers crossed this all works out. Did you research the meds. To see if it can have any affect?

The doctor said that the prednisone shouldn't mess with my cycle, but he had me on the strongest dose I've ever been on. I hadn't taken this medicine in 6 years, so when my asthma flared up a couple weeks ago he said he wanted to put me on 40mg of it, daily, and I've never had over 25mg. So I took 40mg daily for a week, and then he had me stop cold turkey, and that too was the first time I had not been weaned off of it. It definitely affected my body. Day 1 off of it, my entire body had SEVERE body/muscle ache. I thought I was dying. Day 2-3 migraine so bad I had to stay home from work yesterday, so I know coming off that medicine cold turkey affected me. I joke with my husband that I feel like my body is going through a de-tox or something similar as it's responded in major ways I've never felt before. Makes me sound like a druggie, but these past couple days have truly been terrible. And if it's affected me that much, what has it done to my cycle? I can't help but wonder.

I bet it's just a bug since you didn't get a positive OPK and it's early. If it's back down tomorrow, I'd just disregard that temp.
FX it wasn't ovulation so you can catch the egg in a few days! Do you still have CM today?

I definitely have to agree with the other ladies- I think the spike is a result of whatever bug you and DH are fighting. Just see what the next couple days brings but I'm guessing you'll be able to toss out that temp. KUP!

Sorry you're so confused. I'm with the other ladies. It sounds like it may just been from a nasty bug you may or may not have gotten from DH. I had a temp spike up to 99.2 at work the other night. I'm pretty sure i had some type of congestion/cold thing going on also. GL! KUP

Sorry to hear, Michelle! That doesn't make any sense. Perhaps it was just a fluke or possible fever. It would be super early to O already. Keeping my FX'ed that you haven't missed your O. I hope DH feels better soon so you guys can take advantage of your EWCM! Lots of dust to you!

I think it's just from you being sick too. If you look at my chart I'll bet you can guess which day I was sick. Your last two cycles had two days of positive OPKs before you o'd so I'll bet this is just a false alarm. Which means there's still time to BD and have a good cycle!

Wow sorry the prednisone messed with your body so bad!! Why did he want you to quit cold turkey??
I hope, like all the other girls said, that the spike is just a slight fever. I did do a search on prednisone and ovulation and basically every site said it shouldn't affect ovulation... So hopefully your eggy is getting ready to be released and you O right on time in a few days!

Haha, sorry girls, I just now saw this!! My temp was pre-O temp this morning! Plus I've gotten + opks all day today, and I've been cramping hard core since last night so it's happening!
