I found this in my old what to expect when your expecting. I have never heard of this method...

"Spit a little. Another ovulation predictor is a saliva test, which tests the levels of estrogen in your saliva as ovulation nears. When you're ovulating, a look at your saliva under the test's eyepiece will reveal a microscopic pattern that resembles the leaves of a fern plant or frost on a windowpane. Not all women get a good "fern" but this test, which is reusable, can be cheaper than those pee-on sticks."

Have any of you ladies tried this before?

I've heard of it, but never tried it. I wonder how black and white the results are though. I like something telling me yes or no! lol

I never heard of it but dont know how reliable that would be. I prefer the IC's then backing them up with a big smiley face.

haha same. i love the screaming two lines. i haven't tried the smiley faces yet but i will next cycle if i'm not pregnant. The saliva test just seemed interesting lol
