So last month I purchased the CVS flexible thermometer - which said the temp could be read when the flashing "F" turned to solid (less than 30 sec). By accident, this cycle I have found that my temp still increases past this early time point and indicator, and is more steady if I temp for 1-2 minutes (confirmed by secondary testing).

1. Has anyone else noticed this?
2. Does anyone have suggestions for a better brand of thermometer?

I'm pretty sure the temps are still accurate within each cycle, because I used the same procedure within each (stopping at the flashing light last month & waiting until it temp no longer increases this month).

When I examine my chart from last month, however, and compare it to this month, I think my CH & ovulation date were off. Before I began temping, I used to use the Pink Pad app which placed my O at CD17 instead of CD14 as on FF (this month I O'd CD18 confirmed by OPK). Using FAM method, I don't even get crosshairs for Feb. If I don't get a BFP this month, I suppose I will better understand Feb cycle using this month's LP.

3. The question is, we didn't BD in Feb all that often (due to DH surgery). If I was completely off on my O day, does that even count as a TTC cycle? In other words, can you only say that you are TTC if you know the exact O date and BD'd around that date? Or is it just that you made a good attempt?

4. Is the TWW going to drive me this nuts every month?!?!?!?!?!? AHHH!!!!

I had a thermometer that kept on going up and up and up....but i think that once your temp stays consistent for a number of seconds its counts as your reading because the more you move, talk etc your temp will go up.

As far as TTC as long as you made a good attemp it would still be TTC i would think and yes the TWW will drive you nuts each and every cycle ...Fx;d this cycle is your BFP so you wont have to worry too much longer

When do you plan on testing

1-2. I don't have that thermometer, so not a clue here. I do have a regular CVS BBT, and I like it.

3. It is up to you whether you consider that a TTC cycle, imo. We've been TTC for just this side of 6 months, but I haven't had an ovulatory cycle yet!

4. YES! The TWW is awful!
