Our first appt was this morning and DH was able to make it!! The doctor was running behind because a patient delivered at another hospital last night and she went by to check on her this morning (love that dr!). According to my LMP I should be about 9 weeks along (2/2/12) but due to issues with PCOS I didn't ovulate until 2/26/12 making me 7w3d. She found our little turkey pretty quickly on the screen and it's little heart was just flickering away (the equipment was kinda old so I didn't get to hear anything). She measured the little one and s/he measured 7w3d...right on schedule!!
I also found out that since the baby's measurements don't match the expected due date based on my LMP the insurance allows her to do another u/s in 2 weeks to verify growth and due date! My doctor said she is absolutely thrilled with the measurements and they are right on track for when she and I both know I O'd, but since she can get another u/s out of the insurance she is going to take advantage of that and get us an extra view at our little one!! So I get to see the little turkey again in 2 weeks!!
Awww! Look at your cute lil bean! So precious! Congrats, Brandy! So happy for you! And I bet you are just thrilled to get another u/s in 2 weeks!

LOL, "turkey blob"! That is just too cool, I know you are probably out-of-your-mind-happy. I'm glad you have such a good doc, I love that she is working with you to get another u/s.

Brandyyyyyy!!!! OMG!!!! I have not been on for like over 2 months. I'm so excited to hear that you and DH finally got knocked up. Congrats! Congrats! and more Congrats!!!!!! How amazing!!!!!
Congrats, Brandy! I'm so happy that everything is looking great... and you get another u/s in a couple weeks.
I didn't O until CD 23, so I had the same issue as you. I told the tech right before the u/s that I was exactly 8 weeks & 4 days. And she said, well, it looks like you're 9 weeks & 5 days by LMP. Baby measured exactly 8 weeks & 4 days.
