*cue cheesy game show music circa the 1970s*

Hello, ladies and welcome to another episode of "When Did Brittney Ovulate?"!

I'll give you the clues and you weigh in on when the crap I actually O'd!

Ready to play? Show me the symptoms!

April 2nd
CD 15
BD the night before
EWCM
Almost imperceptible cramping
Tiny amount of spotting in afternoon CM (sometimes I get small amount of bleeding from BD, from small abrasions or something)
Unable to do OPK as they haven't arrived in mail yet (oh, the humanity!)
Would be 14 DPO today

April 7th
CD 20
BD the night before
EWCM (this time did water test, it balled up and sank)
This was my predicted O day based on my previous cycles (my recent cycles have all been around 33 days long)
Darkish OPK in evening, not sure if it's completely positive or not
Would be 9 DPO today

So, what do you gals think? Did I O on the 2nd (my original thought) or the 7th?

It's hard to say, also bfing can mess up ovulation too, the cramps and spotting along with ewcm seem to make the 2nd likely, but then you said that the 7th was the predicted day, did you use an opk after the 7th? If it was dark that day it may have caught the end of the surge. Did you have ewcm after that day? Do you check your cp?

I say the 7th, because I want you to be 9DPO so those ICs get darker and you get to join the DDC with me

I'm hoping BF hasn't preventing me from ovulating. She really eats only once or twice a day at most, usually for 5 minutes or less, and usually at night.

I used OPKs from the 3rd (when they came in the mail) to the 12th with nothing even close to a positive (minus the tests I took today and yesterday out of curiousity that we're overwhelmingly positive).

As for CP, I have been a ninny about meandering around my lady parts and only recently felt comfortable enough to check it. I started checking it on the 4th and, honestly, there was a bit of a learning curve. I marked it as medium for both height and firmness, but I had no real reference point so I don't know how much I trust those early observations.

Also, I did have EWCM on the 12th, too. I also had craming that day and thought AF was coming for sure. I don't know what to make of that.

If you haven't checked cp before you wouldn't know what your looking for, it takes some time to figure out what it's really doing. I don't think bfing would stop you from Oing at all, you were using those IC's opks right? Keep in mind that it seems they don't show a + right away, I used mine and my digi opks were + a lot sooner than the IC's opks, in fact they were not bfp until yesterday, which was O day, so it likely would have been too late for me to dtd if I went by them. Could be they got close to + looking and were actually + and you surged quick and then Oed.

Hmmm, this is trivial. have you used anymore hpts? I really think an answer test would help solve this mystery, even at 9 dpo the answer test should show it soon. I highly doubt all those IC's were evaps, I hope the next one has a at least the same kind of line you got last night.

I'm going with the 7th as well. If you got a darker line with your OPK, it is possible you caught the end of your surge. either way, I'm ing Grace. Can't wait to see those darker lines hun. I just know this is it for you!

hmmmmm....so you think spotting is from bd and not ovulation? also maybe your body geared up to O then didn't till CD20?

I am going with the answer of I just want to see a BFP either way...lol

Yeah. I just used those IC OPKs. Still getting the hang of those, too.

I haven't taken any more since the SMU IC that appeared to br BFN. I am so scared to be let down. I'm starting to think this is either a chemical pregnancy or a fluke.

Plus, I don't know if DH would let me buy another box of tests. I had to beg for my $8 digis! We are frugal to fault in general, so DH doesn't like the idea of spending "big bucks" for something you whiz on!

BAHAH!!! My DH and I were at the store last night buying some HPT's and I wanted to get some that were more pricier, and he asked me the exact same thing ha ha! "Why would you spend $9 on something you pee on?" hahaha!!

Yeah, the cost of hpts is ridiculous. And it's only bits of plastic and a test strip. You are paying for a brand name, that's it. If the dollar tree can sell tests for $1, then obviously it's possible to sell a fair quality hpt without charging an arm and a leg.

I'm so for you!

Thats why I buy them online, dh never sees them coming through the door lol, I bought a clear blue digi with conception indicator today online since I can't buy them in the store since USA doesn't sell them, and that was 14$ for 1 stupid test, but dh doesn't know. I still need to replenish my stash too before Sunday, lol

This is what I do too. My husband thinks that 1 test per cycle should be enough, lol.

No, they don't. They think it's so easy to just wait. Holy cow, it's NOT!! Testing early gives us something to preoccupy ourselves with. LOL
