Got my first beta back! Though I realized that I didn't know my beta with either of my other pregnancies! I have no basis for comparision! Ack!!!
My numbers from Saturday were 75 hCG. My midwife said that she's seen that number for women who are anywhere from 3-6 weeks pregnant, but that I'm probably about 4/5-ish weeks.
I really wish I knew what my betas were for my previous pregnancies. I know each pregnancy is different, but at least I would have something to compare and obsess over for the next 24 hours.
Since she has to send the labs out of house to be done, I will have to wait until tomorrow to get today's result. She said it will probably be fine, but if my numbers aren't over at least 100, it might indicate a problem. If you girls can spare some, I'd love some sticky, healthy bean dust right now!
P.S. Just wanted to add a shout out to my midwife, who always gets a vein on the first try and never even leaves a bruise! My veins are terrible and she has never had to poke me more than once. My record for number of pokes for a single draw is 10 (arms, hands, and feet). Of course, that wasn't with Heather (my fabulous midwife, who came in on her day off to draw my blood today).

I'm sure everything is ok, Brittney. I'll bet once your results from today are back, the levels will have shot up. You should stop worrying so much, hun.
Does it feel real yet or do you still feel like it's too good to be true? Because you are sooo knocked up right now. Sending lots of and sticky, sticky bean vibes.
Have you had any feelings about the gender yet? What does your DH hope for? Sorry, I'm being nosy!

I guess do feel it's too good to be true. After the roller coaster ride we've been on this cycle, I'm afraid to get my hopes up again. I know that I am pregnant, but I'm so freaked out that something is wrong... I know. I stress too much. Maybe if I get good, elevated betas tomorrow I'll feel better.
As far as gender goes, I'm not feeling any convictions one way or the other. With Boo (DD1), I knew she was a girl as soon as I saw my BFP. And I was right (obviously)! With Lilo (DD2), I knew, just KNEW, she was a boy. And I was dead wrong (obviously)!
Right now, I would happy for a healthy boy or girl. DH wants twin boys. Yup. Not one boy, TWIN boys. Man, my DH is greedy.
Oh, and you're not being nosy! I think it's sweet that you'd ask!

I would say that beta is great and likely closer to the 4 week mark, my RE is very upfront with information and not much for sugar coating anything, he explained to me when I was 13 dpo and my hcg was 24 that he would like to see it around 50 at that point and that it could go either way. You had figured you were between 10-12 dpo and had your beta done around 11-14 dpo, so your number looks great. They can vary a lot though. My friend had her hcg done at 12 dpo and it was 60, and mine at 12 dpo was 115. We both had healthy babies. Mine were a bit on the high side but I will show you how they went. From what I seen the average first number is around the 60's.
12 dpo- 115
14 dpo- 293
19 dpo- 3,058
26 dpo -33,998 This was about 5 weeks 4 days.
Keep in mind mine were on the high side, there was ladies in my DDC who had numbers lower than mine and had TWO healthy babies. I know betas are so stressful which is why I poas all the time watching my lines get darker in between betas. And on the gender thoughts, I was right with everyone of my kids, usually by the time I heard the second HB, I knew what they were. I knew what Isaac was from the start, but seeing his 8 week U/S confirmed to me that he was indeed a boy....no I did not see anything between the legs but I just knew.

I know you are worried, girl. Truthfully, if it was me, I'd be going nuts with worry, too. I'm a huge worrier, so I get it. I know you're still going to worry, but try to do something relaxing like a warm bath or something just for you. I know it's easier said than done to stop worrying about something so important, but also remember that the best thing you can do for you and your lil bean is take care of yourself right now. You totally deserve it, too!
Dh sounds like mine. He wants another boy, and when I was pg with our DS, he thought it was twins for awhile. LOL I knew with both, although with DS I was still hoping for another girl, but I always knew he was a boy.

I'm going to put my 2 cents in and say that you're having a boy! I don't know why, but boy sticks out to me!

Thank you for the update. As someone who also has challenging veins to catch, I am grateful that your midwife is so good at it

Thank you girls so much! I would go nuts if it weren't for all of you (or drive DH nuts by obsessing 24/7)! I'll let you know what the results of today's test are. Can it be tomorrow now?!

That would be fun! I've always wanted a little boy, but three little ladies would be great, too!
