I'm pretty sure I'm out this cycle (temps zigzagging around the chart like a heart monitor) and DH had a very high fever on Friday - so he's pretty much sterile for he next 90 days.

So we're just going to relax and clear him out before we try to TTC.

When you're almost 40 yrs old, 90 days sounds like a lifetime!

I'll still pop in to make you all laugh!

I insist you still stop by often! I love your posts!

I had no idea a fever could kill off sperm for 90 days. I thought it could kill sperm and slow production for a couple of days, but 90?! DANG! How long did he have the fever for?

Maybe the fever just killed off the weaklings and left only the super sperm!

A fever does not cause sterility for 90 days. A very high grade fever will negatively impact sperm for 75 days (the length of time for sperm production), but the information I found said that only a fever that requires hospitalization will do that, and those kinds of fevers are associated with bacterial infections normally. Most men will recover in a few weeks time which probably means you will have less of a chance this upcoming cycle, but by the cycle after that, your DH's swimmers should have returned to normal.

HTH!!! Keep trying hun!!! You still have a chance!!!
